The Juneteenth Dream Builders Scholarship celebrates the historical significance of Juneteenth by awarding scholarships to one student each from elementary, middle, and high school who exemplify the spirit of freedom, resilience, and the pursuit of endless possibilities. This scholarship aims to support and encourage young scholars who demonstrate a commitment to education, community service, and cultural awareness, fostering their potential to create a brighter future.
The Juneteenth Dream Builders Scholarship invites students in grades K-12 who live in Kaufman County to submit a video essay that goes beyond traditional formats, encouraging creativity, engagement, and innovation. This video essay serves as a platform for students to vividly express their educational goals, community service involvement, and cultural awareness initiatives.
We are looking for submissions that are not only informative but also captivating, utilizing creative elements such as visuals, storytelling, and unique presentations to inspire and convey their message. The goal is to create a compelling narrative that showcases each student's vision for their future and how they can be supported to unlock endless opportunities. Through this dynamic medium, we aim to see the passion, ingenuity, and potential of our young scholars come to life.​

The Xi Delta Sigma Pathways to Success Scholarship honors the determination, ambition, and resilience of graduating high school seniors as they take the next step in their educational journey. This scholarship is designed to support students who are committed to achieving their goals and making a meaningful impact in their communities, regardless of the path they choose to take.

Whether pursuing a traditional four-year college degree, starting at a community college with plans to transfer, or enrolling in a trade or skill-based program, this scholarship recognizes the diverse pathways to success and provides financial support to help students reach their full potential. By celebrating the commitment to education and personal growth, the Xi Delta Sigma Pathway to Success Scholarship empowers students to build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
To apply for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Minimum GPA: 2.8

Community Involvement: Demonstrated participation in community service.

Recommendation Letter: One letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or community leader.

Essay Requirement: Submit a 500-word essay on the topic:
"How Furthering My Education Will Shape My Future and Impact My Community." -
Proof of Admission: Provide documentation of acceptance to a college, community college, trade school, or other post-secondary institution.
